5 Sports Betting Tips

These are some simply sportsbetting tips that will stand you in good stead to becoming a good sports bettor. The best tip I can give you is to follow the first tip, never, ever bet more then you can safely afford to lose!

1. Don't Bet What You Can't Afford To Lose!

If you can't afford to lose money you shouldnt be placing bets. Placing more money then you should be on sports is something that can soon turn an enjoyable wager in to a nightmare.

2. Don't Over Complicate Things!

If you are being drawn in to a 10 event bet, within a week of starting sportsbetting you are trying to over complicate things. Learn the jargon, do your research and place your bets. If you are spending your hard earned money on ridiculos bets chances are you won't come out a winner.

3. Bet On What You Know!

It's hard enough to gain an edge over the bookies without betting on events you know nothing about, so don't do it. If you see tempting odds on a team you know are "reall good" it's because the bookies know something you don't.

4. Beware of "Hot Tips"!

Don't be tempted by phone lines or internet sites that charge for advice, chances are if they had good advice they would keep it to themselves and make some serious money themselves. Take any advice you find, regardless of where you found it, with a pinch of salt.

5. Losers Don't Win!

If a bookie is given you 100/1 odds on team or a horse to win a match/race they are giving them odds for a reason. Offcourse sometimes a huge underdog will come out on time, but this rarely ever happes especially if they are huge underdogs.
